FRÍO Y MÁS FRÍO

Veruca Salt, IV. En la primera oída me parece un disco bastante sólido con varios estados de ánimo.

El frío, el maldito frío. Parece ser que el cambio climático cada vez nos afecta más: torrenciales lluvias, calor insoportable, frío y más frío. Parece haber terminado el clima templado en la Ciudad de México, espero que no.

Los belgas de Soulwax estuvieron en México, por cierto muy buen concierto en el Salón 21, y en una entrevista dijeron que Holanda sería el primer país en desaparecer debido al cambio climático, ya que se encuentran a una altura bajo el nivel del mar y debido a su gran rivalidaridad, a modo de broma, se alegraron de este asunto. Sin embargo, lo importante que hicieron ver es que sólo cuando algo de estas magnitudes suceda, nos daremos cuenta del desastre ecológico que estamos produciendo.

Creo que sólo me resta decir que todo está mal, gracias de Maistre.

TOMA DE POSESIÓN

Mañana toma posesión Obrador como “presidente legítimo”, la desarticualación dentro del PRD ha sido evidente, con lo que varios apoyos (Cárdenas, Amalia y Sabines), aunque no siempre los tuvo al 100% consigo se han desarticulado.

No sé hasta que punto podrá llegar este movimiento de resistencia, pero lo que sí es seguro es que necesitamos grandes cambios y estos sólo se pueden lograr mediante acuerdos de todos los grupos. En este sentido, tanto Calderón como Obrador tiene que comenzar a trabajar juntos en la construcción del áis que todos queremos y necesitamos.

VACATIONS ENDED

Fantastic Plastic Machine. Trying to escape a little more form reality.

I returned from Monterrey on Sunday, I t was a really nice trip. The conference was good, I had the chance to visit some places, like the Contemporary Museum of Art, Santiago, a little town that is 50 km from the city and its nice cascade and night life that is very interesting. Now the hard times come: the end of the semester, with lots of essays and the colloquium.

VACATIONS START

Today is sunny here in Monterrey, yesterday I went to the Iguana Café, it’s superb, yes superb, there are two dance floors one with psycho and the other with rock, and the best beer is cheap.

I want to go to visit the museum of Contemporary Art and many others. Tomorrow maybe I want to go to the border.

I think my conference was allright. Now my vacations start, I am going to get rid of all the stress of Mexico.

MONTERREY

I have just arrived to Monterrey, its seems to be a gorgeous city, at first sight night life is very intensive and culture is everywhere, there is a cultural agenda with a lot of activities and the festival Barrio Antiguo that includes a lot of music from rock to electronic.

Today I a going to dictate my conference about the social consequences of globalization and after 5 pm I am going to be free to do whatever I want until Sunday afternoon. I hope I can go to the Experimental Music Festival today at 8 pm.
