Sigo escuchando a Cibo Matto.

Año nuevo sin daño alguno, es decir, sigo sin tomar lo cual me asusta considerablemente, no porque sea parte sustancial de mi vida, pero sin duda me divierto más, bueno pero este no el espacio idóneo para hacer una apología del alcohol.

There’s no doubt that Rothko is one of the foremost painters in the XX century. In the exposition named The art of Mark Rothko that is shown in the Modern Museum of Art in México, there are only 27 paintings, even though we can see each one of his artistic periods(the realistic, the mythological, the surrealist, the transition and the classic, which is the most important) well represented.

As all artistic lives Rothko’s one was very intense until it finished when he committed suicide. The artist propose a new visual language some people can think that his painting of the classic period are very simple, but the monumental scale of them, the light effect and the overlapping of different colors, makes some emotional effects over the spectator.

I recommend going to the exposition with open mind letting the painting to transmit the emotional effects with the ones the artist wanted to involve the spectator.
