Coffe and Cigarettes Posted by Picasa

Coffe and Cigarettes is an excellent film of Jim Jarmusch. This movie was completed in 17 years, in some free time that the director had between his other films. To drink coffee and to smoke a cigarette used to be an activity for relaxation, but nowadays it has become an activity of normal life that doesn’t imply a break.

This movie shows how people use to interact between coffee and cigarettes and how they have very short time to meet each other. The discussions vary a lot between the stories, but at last it shows what people think about many different topics. And of course the appearance of Iggy Pop, Tom Waits and The White Stripes gives an extra attraction to the movie.

At last I can say that this movie can make you have good time thinking about the interaction of people in modern societies and how coffee and cigarettes have become essential when people want to talk between them.
